Rainy days and Mondays

Alright so it's not rainy, but it is Monday which is enough to get anyone down.

It was hard to get out of bed this morning and I don't feel sick. Husband however, after a night of tourturing me with the stinkiest garlic crackers known to man has an upset stomach. Seriously, I have no idea where they came from (technically they came from Aunt Pam) but they smelled up the entire house and suffice to say they left his breath less than appealing. Not that anyone has appealing breath really. Good smelling breath..anyone? I thought not.

Anywhoo, he apparently awoke at 4am feeling sick. Spent sometime in the bathroom and tossed and turned until around 7 when I got up. He barely raised his head off the pillow while asking for soda water. Here is a tip: drink soda water (baking soda and water) if you have a stomachace. Do NOT drink soda water if I make it...it will only exaserbate the situation. Suffice to say his condition didn't improve. Therefore I moved on to anti-nausea meds, gatorade and saltines. Had it been me who felt sick, I would have awakened him at 4am, made him place cold wash rags on my face and get me 7-up. I also would not have gone to work much less got out of bed unless 100% necessary.

My husband however, rocks the house. He trudged out of bed, got dressed and off to work we went. Now understand my work consists of sitting at a desk and doing very little. Mostly I sit and talk to people about things that I know about and they mostly don't. Contrast that to husband who lugs tools up flights of stairs, works with high voltage, fixes elevators and today had to lucg around 2500 pounds of weights to test elevators. You can see that my job is much more taxing and I have every reason to be a ninny when not feeling well. He on the other hand has no excuse but to soldier on due to the ease of the work he does all day.

Basically I jest but let husband's ailment be a lesson to you. Stay away from garlic crackers but if you must eat them try not to eat Ben and Jerry's right after. Bad things will happen to you if you do.
