Lars and the Real Girl

This movie is one of the best I have seen in quite some time. Ryan Gosling is of course a very talented actor but there is just something about this movie in particular.

It has a strange premise and you can predict how it will turn out but watching it unfold is heartbreaking and tender all at once. The idea is based on what if people with mental illnesses where embraced and treated compassionately instead of with derision.

All I can say is it is so sweet. Please watch this film.
