Fresh Start

Happy Monday!

After an uneventful weekend I am looking forward to getting back to work.

Friday night I got home near eight and kiddo was already asleep. At first I thought she was kind of hiding out since we received a call from her PE teacher saying she is not dressing out. Truthfully however she was sick. She kind of opened her eyes and begged me to sit with her for a minute.

I was supposed to go to Melanie's birthday party but my parental guilt kicked in. Of course I could not find my phone to let her know I would not be there. I am sure that is a mess I will need to clean up today at work.

Kiddo continued to stay in bed all weekend, not even getting perked up by the thought of going to see the horses with her friend Emily. The worst part was the cough.

One plus side of this was husband and I being able to spend the day together practically alone. We were with kiddo of course but she was out of it in bed. We went to the store and then came home, watched football, made a turkey, I baked a pumpkin pie. It was all very domestic.

Poor kiddo was coughing all night, not a wet yucky cough just dry and icky.

Work should be good today....I can pray!
