The Church Quest

Good news! Vince and I checked out a new church today....sure it was the 10:45 service...mama was sleepy. So far so good. They are a Southern Baptist Church but it is really foundational. There was a guest pastor today so we will have to check it out next week to see how it really is but I am hopeful

We will make sure and take Holly with us next time but I was concerned to take her this first time in case it was not a place we felt comfortable. They have a youth program and it is actually headed by one of Vince's former teachers! When we met him I thought that it was a classmate, he looked so young.

The sermon today was inspiring and gave me something to meditate on this week. My only concern (complaint really) is that they sing only contemporary songs during praise and worship and I am more of an old school hymn girl. That is not a deal breaker though.
